Oyster and Wine Festival - Sunday, February 26th

On Sunday, February 26th from 2-5pm, Sour Grapes will be pouring wine at the Oyster and Wine Festival at Sip ... a Wine Store in Cary, NC. Dock to Door seafood will be in attendance, serving clams, sustainably farmed oysters, and at least one other seafood treat. The event will also include education on wine and seafood pairing by The Clever Vine. Sour Grapes will be pouring three seafood-friendly white wines:

Weingut Martinshof "Zum Martin Sepp" Grüner Veltliner 2010 - This is one of our favorite wines, and it is an unbeatable value as well as unbeatably flexible at the table. From just north of Vienna in Austria, this Grüner Veltliner has brisk acidity and ripe citrus apple notes, as well as some minerality and pepper.
Balnea Rueda 2010 - This crisp Spanish white is made from Verdejo. With zesty lime, grapefruit, and melon notes, it is a great light white to pair with light seafoods.
Valli Unite Bianchino 2009 - Valli Unite ("United Valley") is a community of 30 people who farm the hills surrounding Tortona in Italy's Piemonte. They make this white from Cortese, which is food-friendly and balanced with bright acidity and ripe stone and pear fruits.
